White Stoneware Vase

Wheel-thrown from stoneware and finished in a soft eggshell glaze, this white Oval Vase has a rounded silhouette with a wide opening that lets stems fall naturally. Non-porous and built for daily use, it comes in three sizes to suit any space or arrangement scale.

Kiln-Fired Variation in Every Piece

The eggshell glaze produces a smooth, chalky surface with subtle speckling and tonal variation from the firing. Each piece is shaped and finished by hand, so no two come out of the kiln exactly the same.

From Stem to Arrangement

The opening sits comfortably around a single stem or holds a loose, generous arrangement without crowding. Group two or three at varying heights on a mantel, shelf, or dining table for a more layered display. Fill them with dried botanicals or faux stems for something that works through every season.

ABOUT SHELDON CERAMICS

Founded by ceramicist Peter Sheldon, Sheldon Ceramics is a hand-throwing studio based in downtown Los Angeles, just off the LA River. The studio draws inspiration from the industrial landscape around it — weathered surfaces, slow transformation, the raw materials shaped by geological forces over millions of years — and channels that into minimal, functional stoneware.

Each piece is thrown by hand on a wheel, and every glaze is formulated in-house, measured to the gram and fired repeatedly until the color and finish are exactly right. The result is a palette that draws in light rather than reflects it, designed to age with the kind of quiet grace that comes from being made to last.

Sheldon's work traces the universal language of pottery — the same forms appearing across Japanese, Southeast Asian, European, and Mexican ceramic traditions — and reinterprets them with reverence and ongoing study. His stoneware is non-porous and built for daily use, the kind of pieces that become more personal the longer they are lived with.

Product Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth to dust. Hand wash with mild soap and warm water only if needed. Not dishwasher safe.

These vases are ideally safe for fresh flowers on wooden surfaces, but we recommend testing for water tightness first. Fill the vase with water and place it on paper over a non-porous surface for 24 hours. See if moisture appears beneath the vase.
