Scabiosa stellata

Also known as Starflower Pincushions, Scabiosa is native to Southwestern Europe and North Africa. The beautifully textured pod is formed by many small little rounded circles that create a rounded ball shape. Scabiosa pods are not technically a flower but rather the seed pod of the plant. The flowers are available year-round since the flower is a seed pod. We designed these in collaboration with author / stylist, Hilary Robertson and purposely incorporated realistic details of faded leaves and petals, as well as bug holes to capture nature’s nuance.
Arrange a single stem or two in our Monolithic Tadelakt Vase in Medium, or cut and combine with our EcoFaux™ Black Mission Fig Branches and EcoFaux™ Black Barlow Stems in our Vintage Grey Vase.

These look really great! One small nitpick is they arrived tagged with stickers on the stem and removing the sticker pulled off a small it of paint. Not something that can really be noticed unless looking from close up, but kind of a bummer for these to be less than 100% only 5 seconds into owning them. Otherwise, really great and not artificial looking.

I was initially hesitant to purchase five of these due to the cost, but I’m glad I trusted the positive reviews. I was extremely happy with the quality when I received them, and they look amazing in a contemporary vase in my entryway. Very difficult to tell that they aren’t real. Highly recommend!
