Cardboard and Paper

Most paper products can be placed in a curbside recycling bin.

Plastic film

aka Plastic film packaging (PE) and Bubble wrap, aka LDPE are both made from a synthetic resin. Plastic film can be recycled to make composite lumber for decks, benches, and playground sets. It can also be reprocessed into small pellets, which can be made into new bags, pallets, containers, crates, and pipe.
These items cannot be recycled in your curbside bin at home. Instead, Bloomist suggests checking with plasticfilmrecycling.org for the nearest recycling drop-off location. These include grocery stores and other retail stores.

Tissue Paper

Tissue paper is made from recycled paper, so the fibers are shortened to the point where it cannot feasibly go through the recycling process again. In some cases, tissue paper can be composted.

Rubber Bands

Rubber bands are not recyclable. Technically rubber bands are compostable, however rubber takes a long time to break down or biodegrade. Bloomist suggests reusing.
