Not long ago, husband-and-wife team Daniel Oates and Dana Brandwein led typically atypical New York City careers: Oates was a well-known sculptor, while Brandwein spent 20 years in the record industry, working alongside artists like AC/DC, Metallica, and Björk. They traded that fast-paced life for one of slow-living and sustainability in pastural Litchfield County, Connecticut where they established DBO Home, their line of everyday luxury home goods.

Living and working out of a converted cowshed, their ceramics and woodworking studios serve as home base to bring sustainable luxury to everyday home objects. Their work is coveted and collected by many and the Of a Kind collections quickly sell out.
