Grey Basic Planter Tray

Sized to match the Grey Terracotta Planter from Small through XXX-Large, this Basic Planter Tray is hand-thrown by skilled artisans in Sabanagrande, Honduras in collaboration with Bloomist.

Finished in a deep grey patina with streaks of mossy green, each piece carries its own tone and pattern, bearing the mark of the maker's hand and traditional craft passed down through generations.

Do I Need a Saucer for My Plant?

For most indoor plants, yes. After watering, a tray catches excess drainage and protects floors and surfaces from water damage. The porous terra cotta also supports aeration, allowing roots to draw up remaining moisture and breathe for healthier growth over time. Use it indoors or out, and in winter, store it inside to protect the clay from frost.

Beyond the Planter

The deep charcoal surface makes this terracotta plant saucer worth using on its own. A candle, a stone, or a curated object β€” the dark finish gives whatever sits in it more presence. It works particularly well alongside aged metal, wood, and raw stone, where the graphite and moss tones feel at home. Also available in White Patina.

Grey Patina Flower Pot & Tray

"The color is more black than grey but the quality of the clay is very good and they have cork on the bottom so the tray will not damage the spot where you put the plant. I am pleased with the quality and now I need to buy some plants to put in them."
