The perfect Ikebana bowl, hand thrown by Judy Jackson, exclusively for Bloomist. These bowls are designed to be used with our oval and round stone frogs as well a Niwaki's Kenzan frogs. These also do double duty as centerpiece bowls when planted with succulents or moss.
Hand applied layers of textural, tinted neutral shades of ivory porcelain create this nuanced and unique bowl. The dramatic textures are rough to the hand. The simple, porcelain form is hand-thrown on the wheel by ceramist Judy Jackson. A minimalist sculptural quality, it is ideal for single branches and stems as well as sprays of evergreen or planted with succulents or herbs.
The hand throwing and layered application of the porcelain clay accentuates the subtle evidence of the potter's hand in perfectly imperfect forms and textures. Shiny white glaze inside. Each piece is signed on the bottom and no two are alike.
Each piece is made to order. The firing and glazing process requires approximately 10 days before they are ready to be shipped. Your order will ship directly from the maker, other Bloomist items purchased will ship separately and cannot be combined. If your purchase is time-sensitive, contact us at hello@bloomist.com and we will do our best to accommodate.
