Dutch Craftsmanship Meets Design Innovation

Hand-built in Holland, the Bijuga celebrates construction as well as intentional design.  The joining seams are deliberately folded outwards while all nuts and bolts remain visible, creating depth and industrial character. Hardwood merbau components, including knobs and push rod, remain cool to the touch during operation, allowing safe handling throughout your fire experience.

The Beauty of CorTen Steel

RB73 fireplaces are built from CorTen steel, a 100% recyclable metal alloy developed by US Steel designed to age gracefully outdoors. Copper, silicon, nickel, and chromium are added to iron to create CorTen steel, a process that develops a protective rust-like patina that deepens over time, shifting from warm orange tones to a rich, earthy brown. This evolving surface doesn't weaken the structure—instead, it shields the fireplace from further corrosion, allowing it to withstand the elements season after season (CorTen steel lasts about 10x longer than regular steel).

No two pieces will weather in the same way, which means each Bijuga fireplace develops its own unique character. The result is a fireplace that not only performs beautifully but also tells a story of time and place, growing more integrated into its surroundings with every passing year.
