Amaranthus caudatus
Also known as Love Lies Bleeding or Pendant Amaranth, Green Amaranthus is actually a grain that develops long upright or trailing flowers. We designed this faux amaranthus spray in collaboration with author / stylist, Hilary Robertson and purposely incorporated realistic details of faded leaves and petals, as well as bug holes to capture nature’s nuance.
Arrange this faux amaranthus spray in a dramatic, tall vase, such as our Black Novah Pitcher. The arrangement in the White Buranchi Vase features four sprays of the Green Amaranthus.
Note that the stems and flower heads of this faux amaranthus spray are flexible, and can be cut with strong, heavy-duty clippers. Petals and leaves are made of upcycled fabric from PET plastic bottles, while the stems and leaf bones are Recycled Polyethylene (rPE). These are assembled by hand from ethical producers in China.
