Skilled wood workers in the Peten region of Guatemala handcrafted these double duty Gathering Trays in two shapes using sustainably harvested exotic wood from the heart of Guatemalan jungle. The square shape is ideal for keeping your WFH desk organized, while the rectangular shape is perfectly suited to breakfast in bed.

Itza Wood was founded by Suzanne Bararczy and Eliza Bararczy with a simple mission: to break the poverty cycle in the Peten region of Guatemala. The company funds various social initiatives – including employment and education - that help enhance local economic growth. “We put people and our planet first providing craftsmen with favorable work environments and wages,” explains Eliza.
In order to deepen the company’s commitment to one of nature’s most lush, beautiful treasures, Itza’s reforestation initiative planted 45,000 trees in the heart of Guatemala’s Peten jungle. (Read more)

The first tray I received had a large crack. Bloomist replaced it quickly and I was grateful for the responsive customer service. I purchased the larger tray and use it to display Gary Bodker Little Gems vases on my coffee table. It’s sturdy, well made, and beautiful.
