River-Worn Stone, Shaped for Stems

Handpicked from streams in Honduras, the Oval Stone Frog is a natural river rock shaped by water and selected for its individual color, surface, and form. Openings in the stone turn it into a functional flower frog, holding individual stems upright while leaving much of their shape visible.

An Oval Base for Open Arrangements

The elongated shape of this oval flower frog gives stems room to spread across a low arrangement rather than gather tightly at the center. Try it with the branching form of Dried Natural Transparent Oak Autumn Leaves, or explore Faux Botanicals for stems with different lines and proportions. For fresh flowers, the stone can be placed inside a Recycled Glass Hurricane / Vase, with water surrounding the base of the stems.

Placing Stems Individually

The openings help keep stems in position as you work, allowing individual flowers or branches to be added or removed without gathering them into a bunch. The stone's natural surface remains visible between the stems. It also stands on its own as a small stone object.

Please note: Not watertight.

Also available in Round.

Q&A

I just purchased the stone frogs and wanted to know how to use them for freshly cut flowers... does water go inside of the frogs and does a base or Vase has to accompany them when using water?
Hi Yasmeen, the stone frogs are not water tight, so they can't hold water. But, you can use it for freshly cut flowers by placing the stone frogs inside a glass vase and add water as needed. Please check out one of the photos shown in Bloomist product page - we use European recycled glass jar to showcase a stone frog submerged in water and holding a live plant.
