Native to Marrakech, Morocco, tadelakt is an ancient limestone plastering technique and material. Meaning “massage” or “rub” in Arabic, tadelakt is prized for its smooth surface and subtle sheen, and has been used for centuries to coat the walls and baths of traditional Hammams and Moroccan homes.
Moroccan artisans use tadelakt to hand-craft these simple, highly polished bowls. Use them to display beads or tumbleweed, or add a stone frog or metal Kenzan frog and make your next dried or faux Ikebana arrangement.
Materials: ethically sourced lime plaster and olive soap. Not intended for food or liquids.

This bowl is an art piece. I added this beautiful piece to my entertainment center and you can't help but draw your eye towards it. It is beautiful with or without anything in the bowl.
From the moment my sister sent me a house warming gift from Bloomist, I instantly became a huge fan! My husband and I just moved into the home we have been building and have upper glass cabinets that we needed to fill. The Natural Tadelakt Centerpiece Bowl is absolutely perfect! I also ordered several vases to complete the look. Everything is beautifully made and simply from the feel, you know it is quality.
Thank you for sharing! Nature is a lovely way to warm up your new home!
This bowl is a beautiful example of the uniqueness only found in handmade objects. It’s a statement piece for any table or shelf.
It is such as chic piece! Try styling it with a tumbleweed!
