White Paper Peony in Bloom

Layers of warm ivory petals open around a detailed center, with subtle shifts in tone that give the White Peony the look of a flower just beginning to open. A smaller bud rests beside the main flower, balancing the composition. The paper peony is presented on a mouth-blown glass stand and stands approximately 15.75 inches tall.

Hand-Dyed Paper, Finished with Wax

Each flower is handcrafted from hand-dyed, FSC-certified paper, then coated in beeswax and green tea wax using a signature finishing technique. The wax gives the petals their soft sheen, while floral essential oils lend a light scent. Because every flower is shaped by hand, small variations in color, form, and finish are part of each piece.

Meet the Maker

Each piece is handcrafted by artisans working with hand-dyed paper and natural wax. Using traditional wax-dipping techniques, the paper petals, stems, and leaves are carefully coated in beeswax to preserve their form and add subtle fragrance. The materials guide the process—selected for tactile quality, versatility, and the ability to be reshaped and adapted.

Beeswax comes from UK and European beekeepers as a by-product of honey production. Plant-based waxes and essential oils—green tea, orange peel, sunflower, rose, jasmine—are sourced from the food, beverage, and perfumery industries.

Because natural wax can be reused and reworked, these artisans center their approach on material exploration and responsible sourcing that supports ongoing making.

Product Care

Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Dust gently with a soft, dry brush. The natural fragrance will gradually soften over time.
