Vester Chair

The comfortable, versatile Vester Chair was originally created by Skagerak for the seaside hotel Svinkløv Badehotel. Lauded for its clean lines, superb craftsmanship and ingenious use of natural materials, the Vester won ‘Furniture of the Year’ at the Danish Design Awards in 2020. This distinctively Nordic piece is impeccably crafted using golden oiled FSC-certified Oak that comes from sustainably managed European forests. A brass transverse rod on the back of the chair lets you effortlessly carry or pull out the chair from a desk or dining table. And the tops of the softly rounded chair legs double as a place to hang your bag or purse.

Leather Cushion (sold separately):
This soft leather cushion follows the gently curved lines of the Vester Chair seat and is crafted using aniline leather from a well-known Swedish tannery called Tärnsjö. It comes in a neutral color called Dune that enhances the rich golden hues of oak beautifully. With a natural look and velvety feel, the cushion has also received the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. This label highlights products that are mindfully made to reduce the environmental impact from production and consumption of goods.

The Vester was designed by Chris Liljenberg Halstrom, a Denmark native who inherited her passion for Nordic design from her Swedish mother and Danish father.
