These pillowcases are woven from 100% sustainable European hemp and dyed with low impact dyes in Lithuania. They are pre-washed for extra softness and are thoughtfully crafted with an envelope closure. Hemp is highly breathable with hypoallergenic properties, making it gentle for sensitive skin.

Euro shams are designed to go with the duvet covers but can also serve as decorative pillow covers if you purchase a 27" sq. insert.

Known for incredible regenerative capabilities, hemp is a low-impact plant whose fibers produce a durable, ultra-breathable weave that’s also super soft. Hemp is also a carbon negative plant, meaning it absorbs more CO2 than it produces. Hemp fibers are naturally moisture wicking and antimicrobial. While similar in hand to linen, hemp fibers are 2-3 times longer than linen which results in an even softer fabric, becoming even more soft with each wash.

Insert Option
This pillow cover can be ordered with or without a premium down insert. To include an insert, simply select that option from the drop-down menu. Each insert is made with a 100% cotton cover filled with 90% duck feathers and 10% goose down, giving it a soft, cozy feel. For the best shape and loft, inserts are sized 2 inches larger than the cover, so a 25x25 cover will be paired with a 27x27 insert.

Product Care

Hemp fabric is one of the most robust and durable natural textiles and is relatively low in maintenance, getting better with age and proper care.

To ensure that the fabric does not shrink, the machine wash temperature should be 30-40 °C / 85-100 °F.

If necessary, use oxygen-based bleach only on white hemp fabric, don’t bleach colored or natural colored items. Hand-drying hemp fabric will give you the best results if you don’t have such an opportunity - tumble on a low setting. If you don’t like natural waves of fabric, you can iron it on low for a neat look.
