Anthuriums are considered an easy to grow, low maintenance house plant. They thrive in a bright and indirect light. It will tolerate low light but will not bloom as prolifically. Too much direct light can scorch the leaves. It will ultimately grow to a little over 1 foot. 

It should ideally be kept at indoor temperatures between 60 - 70 degrees and not above 90 degrees. In dry climates—or during dry winter months—mist the plant regularly to help elevate humidity levels, or place it on a tray with pebbles and water or near a humidifier. Fertilize them once or twice per year during the growing season; use a fertilizer with a ratio of 5-10-5 and apply roughly a quarter of what the label recommends.

Anthuriums are toxic. If you have pets or small children, reconsider growing anthurium, or keep it out of reach. 

Tolerate low light but LOVE direct morning light. Highly sensitive to cold, drafts, and sudden changes in temps.

All plants will ship directly from our grower; any other Bloomist purchases will be shipped separately. All orders will be shipped via UPS or USPS generally on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, and only in the Continental US; we cannot ship internationally nor to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. 

Live plants are shipped on a weather-permitting basis. If the forecast calls for cold temperatures along the shipping route, we'll hold your plant for the minimum number of days required to ship it safely.  Temperature swings in shipping can sometimes cause a temporary shock to a plant causing one or two leaves to yellow. This does not impact the health of the plant. Simply remove the leaves and care for the plant as directed. Live plants cannot be returned or exchanged.
