Open Sepia Grid Tan Lumbar Pillow

Long and narrow at 23" x 11", the Aalto Heirloom Throw Pillow is cut for the base of a headboard or for across a sofa back, and is woven in Peru from superfine alpaca and undyed Peruvian cotton. At 2.0 lbs with the insert, the pillow holds its form without flattening through daily use.

The Grid and the Color

The grid on the Aalto is asymmetric; its vertical lines set closer together than the horizontal, producing tall open rectangles across the face. That spacing gives the ivory ground enough room that the sepia lines read as a measured pattern across the face. The sepia tone is a naturally occurring color in the raw alpaca fleece, present in the fiber with no dye applied.

How the Blend Performs

Peruvian cotton at this grade is long-staple, woven through the superfine alpaca to give the grid lines their definition and keep the face even through years of use. Every piece is reviewed by hand at the facility before it ships. Also available as the Aalto throw pillow in a 23" x 23" square format.
