The heartwood of Palo Santo (a.k.a. “holy wood”) — also known by its scientific name Bursera graveolens, is native to various regions throughout Central & South America, and has long been regarded as a sacred element in cleansing practices for centuries. To this day, it is celebrated for its restorative qualities by shamans throughout Latin America, spiritual healers, and modern-day aficionados alike.
One Love Holistics is a vertically-integrated small business committed to the continued conservation and conscious distribution of Palo Santo products around the world. They support the conservation of existing forestlands through playing their role in helping identify and designate government-recognized conservation areas throughout Ecuador and Peru. In addition to their conservation work that helps protect living trees on existing forestlands, they are also actively involved with the reforestation of new-growth Palo Santo trees through the planting of baby seedlings every year. Through a network of exclusive partnerships with the multi-generational native communities who safeguard the equatorial dry forest - the native habitat of Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) trees, they support ecologically-sustainable collection practices and humane labor conditions for all of those involved in their supply chains. Their mindful work in the field ensures Palo Santo will continue to play its healing role for generations to come.
