These super soft, substantial throws are made from 100% recycled factory off-cuts that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. Fibers are shredded, spun into yarn, and then rewoven into beautiful new pieces with meaning and soul. Woven in Peru primarily from alpaca, these are truly heirloom pieces meant to be enjoyed for generations.

Care: An Alpaca throw can last for decades, but its greatest enemies are moths and other pests.  If you need to put it away during warmer months, dry clean it first, then store it with insect repelling cedar chips or lavender bundles. Do not store in a plastic bag or dry cleaning bag as this will allow moisture to build up and fibers to felt. Light and airy spaces are highly recommended. 

Alpaca fibers are naturally odour, stain and wrinkle resistant which means they can go a long way between cleaning. We encourage you to hang your Alpaca blanket outside, avoiding direct sunlight, to air it out occasionally as dry cleaning is not good for the environment. When you do need to clean your Alpaca throw, please read the care instructions first or dry clean only.
