Designed by Bloomist, these simple hand crafted planter trays are made from local terra cotta clay by artisans at the Atuto Group in Honduras exclusively for us. Available in Small, Medium, and Large, each tray is greenwashed by hand after being fired.
We recommend repotting plants from plastic containers into terra cotta pots to improve drainage and aeration of the soil.

A former Peace Corps volunteer from North Carolina, Holland Millis has worked with skilled craft-workers in Honduras for decades; his work there for Aid to Artisans merited coverage in the New York Times. Now, he leads the Atuto group in Sabanagrande, Honduras, which produces pieces made from clay, metal, stone, fiber, and wood — including the planters made from local terra cotta clay that Atuto now produces for Bloomist. Perfect Match
I ordered planters from a boutique garden shop in Dallas but they were out of the matching trays. I ordered trays from Bloomist and they were a perfect match.

Heck yeah its saucer that goes with my pot…but it's even better than that!!! It catches the excess water when I get overzealous watering my plants to death. Saves me from replacing some pretty pricey plant stands to boot. It’s a shame that the humble saucer never gets the spotlight….cuz they’re great
