Niwaki Kenzan Flower Frogs

These kenzans are ideal for ikebana displays and western style flower arranging. The brass pins are strong enough for woody material, as well as soft green stems. Select the size that works best for your arrangement and place at the bottom of a vase or container. Then simply cut the flower stem to the desired length and impale the stem on the prong. This will help water enter the stem and extend the life of your flowers. We also love the double duty use of these mini frogs as candle stands with our Wax Atelier candles .
Available as a Mini Frog Set of 4, or individually as Medium or Large frogs.
Niwaki founder Jake Hobson is a leading pruning specialist who studied pruning, tree-training, and rootballing at Furukawa Teijuen nursery in Osaka. The owner of a tree farm in Dorset, England, Jake founded Niwaki to bring Japanese techniques he’d mastered to Western gardens. He also introduced an expansive collection of Japanese tools ranging from tripod ladders and topiary clippers to super sharp secateurs and garden scissors. “What everyone appreciated is that although these things are all Japanese, they work just as well in western gardens, and on a whole range of plants,” says Jake. “Tripod ladders, it turns out, are just as useful for hedge trimming as they are for pine pruning; and of course, topiary clippers work just as well on box topiary as they do on azalea karikomi.”

Kenzan Flower Frogs
These are a perfect fit! I have the cutest vases that I love to place in various parts of my home and business. However, I have been unable to display the flowers and dried arrangements in them correctly. This is that small item that conquered the big picture.
