We designed these handmade, salvaged wood chains with Bloomist collaborator and avid chain collector, Hilary Robertson. Inspired by the centuries old Japanese technique of charring “Sugi” wood, these oversize pieces add natural drama to still lifes.
Display them coiled in a tableaux or on a shelf.
Skilled artisans hand assemble and char each chain, so natural variations and markings will occur.
Also available in Pale wood.

This was my first purchase with Bloomist and it won’t be my last. Although it says it’s small I found it to be quite substantial in size. I won’t be using it for a while since we’re moving so I left it in it’s box but it’s a beautiful piece. I can’t wait to style it on top of a stack of books or on the coffee table.
I was surprised by how quickly I received this piece. It shipped quickly, and as a bonus shipping was free with the Mother's Day sale. I love the real wood grain that shows through the black stain. It is the perfect final touch to my coffee table styling.
i love how it looks on my living room bookcase alongside some black clay vases
I received the charcoal wood chain I ordered faster then I thought I would! It is well made and very modern. I have it sitting in a bowl which looks really great! I would definitely order from Bloomist again based on my first ordering experience!
Welcome to the Bloomist Tribe!
The charcoal chain is very high end looking, stylish and on trend. If you like the minimalist look I recommend. This peace brings so much
It is a beautiful addition to my home--- ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PIECE
