Wool for the front of these highly textured, hand loomed pillow comes from sheep in the Guatemalan highlands of Momostenango, Totónicapan. Due to high altitude and extreme cold weather, sheep in this region grow exceptionally high quality, resilient wool. Each handmade pillow is backed with recycled indigo cotton denim made by Guatemalan textile group, The New Denim project. The New Denim Project transforms denim waste and upcycled cotton into sustainable cotton denim using dye free, chemical free processes that require minimal water and energy. All yarns and fabrics are 100% natural and biodegradable.
