Hand-crafted and hand-cut in New York, all batches of soap begin with dark green Italian food-grade olive oil to which herbs, butters, natural extracts and essential oils are added. Soap is hand-wrapped in decorative paper. Saipua is made with all-natural ingredients and fragrances and is safe for those with sensitive skin.

Cedarwood
This grounding soap is made with cedar wood oil and has a warm, woody scent. Cedar wood oil is said to soothe the mind and promote vitality. The bar contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, and additionally, shea butter and essential oils.

Clary Sage with Dill
This multi-purpose soap has a clean, earthy smell, made with Clary Sage essential oil, an ingredient some say induces euphoria. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, as well as shea butter, dill weed, and essential oils.  

Coffee Mint
This soap contains coffee grounds and peppermint essential oil, and is great for removing the smell of garlic or onions from hands. It also works as an invigorating shower soap.

Vetiver
This soap contains French green clay that helps gently draw out impurities and tighten the pores. It is a particularly good facial soap for those with sensitive and oily skin. The essential oil blend focuses on vetiver, a smoky scent, rounded out by the addition of citrus.

ABOUT SAIPUA

In 1997, the founder of Saipua, Susan Ryhanen, started crafting soap in her Brooklyn apartment. Not ordinary soap but hand-made, hand-cut soap made from 40-60% of cold-processed olive oil scented with pure essential oils. In a nod to her heritage, she named the products Saipua, Finnish for “soap”, and a highly moisturizing empire was born.
