Designed by Bloomist in collaboration with renowned stylist and author, Hilary Robertson, this stoneware vase is hand-thrown by potter, David Moldover, co-founder of The Newburgh Pottery, exclusively for us.
Featuring a striking rich green glaze with unique dark variations, it can be displayed alone, included in a still life, or used to display foraged branches in complementary shades of green, like eucalyptus, white pine, and blue cypress.
Owned and operated by David Moldover and his wife Jenny, The Newburgh Pottery is located in the town of Newburgh in the heart of the Hudson Valley. In addition to offering pottery classes for budding artists of all levels, David and Jenny design and craft ceramics for restaurants and stores in the area and in New York City. As a result, The Newburgh Pottery has become a vibrant hub for the creative community in the county. “Communities form in studios like this,” explains David. “It doesn’t matter what your age or background is; everyone has this one passion in common, and so everyone is on a level playing field. You’ll never feel more welcome anywhere than you’ll feel in a studio.”
David and Jenny also undertake private commissions.
