Inspired by the simplicity and functionality of a trestle table, the elegantly proportioned Aldus does double duty as a dining table or desk. It is handcrafted using FSC-certified oak that has a rich golden hue. The curved corners of the rectangular tabletop and the softly rounded legs give this piece a sensual, welcoming vibe. It is designed exclusively for Skagerak by well-known Nordic designer Chris L. Halstrom in 3 sizes to suit different rooms and apartments. Chris also designed the Vester chair as an ideal partner for the Aldus table. Read more about Chris in our Journal story here.
The 160 and 180 tables each fit 4 to 6 people and are slimmer and shorter than the 200. They are better suited for minor apartments. The 200 table is the largest of the three, and fits 6 to 8 people.
Deeply rooted in Scandinavian heritage and craftmanship, Skagerak is a family-owned company that produces quality Danish furniture designed to last for generations. Material: FSC-certified oak, oil treated
The Aldus Table comes oil-treated. For daily cleaning, use a damp cloth to wipe down the entire surface evenly. The use of everyday cleaning agents is not recommended. Any spills should be wiped immediately to avoid lasting marks. Treat table with a suitable oil 1-2 times per year, depending on the use. Please note that the addition of oil may darken the color of your table, enhancing the beauty in the natural texture of the wood while protecting it from water, dirt, and grease.
