Designed by Bloomist with slightly elongated proportions inspired by vintage British Long Tom pots. These are taller and narrower than usual pots and are most suitable for deep-rooted plants. These simple hand crafted planters are made from local terra cotta clay by artisans at the Atuto Group in Honduras exclusively for us. Drainage hole built in.
Our white washed terra cotta pots are available in sizes Small through XXX-Large. Each pot is whitewashed by hand after being fired and vary slightly in size and finish. Pair these planters with hand-thrown Studio planter trays, sold separately.
Also available in Greenwash.
Plant Large - XXXL pots with taller specimens like monstera and fig trees, and Small and Medium pots with succulents and ferns. And elevate them off the ground with our made-to-match wrought iron plant stands, also hand crafted by Atuto artisans.

A former Peace Corps volunteer from North Carolina, Holland Millis has worked with skilled craft-workers in Honduras for decades; his work there for Aid to Artisans merited coverage in the New York Times. Now, he leads the Atuto group in Sabanagrande, Honduras, which produces pieces made from clay, metal, stone, fiber, and wood — including these white washed terra cotta pots. (Read more)

Its attractive and ample sized. I got 3 largest sizes: XL, XXL, XXXL. They are attractive, as pictured. Its hard for me to find large pots for indoor plants. They are substantial yet portable, unlike outdoor cousins, that require a dolly or extreme struggle once they are filled. My monstera that is a little over 1 year old needs the XXXL. A ruby fiscus that’s similarly aged needs the XXL. The XL was an accident and I hadn’t planned for it but it will be easy to accommodate. My Schleffera and my jade are ready, probably screaming to get out of the wall pocket (WallyGrow) they’ve been growing in. The XL is a good stepping stone size for virtually any large plant that’s not mature yet. You can’t go wrong with that size and the other bigger ones are going to be necessary when plants have outgrown that one. I hope my plants space needs are met for a long while now. The wrought iron stands are great! The pots are too heavy for ordinary plant stands.
