Stoneware Vase Collection, Neutrals
Please join the wait list for this variant.
A collection of 3 graceful stoneware forms in nuanced tinted neutrals, these beautiful vases are hand-thrown on the wheel by ceramist Judy Jackson. Minimalist sculptural forms as vases, they are each made with a small opening that’s ideal for single branches and stems as well as sprays of nature.
The hand throwing and dipping process accentuates the subtle evidence of the potter's hand in perfectly imperfect forms and textural, layered application of glazes. No two are alike.
Each piece is made to order. The firing and glazing process requires approximately 10 days before they are ready to be shipped. Your order will ship directly from the maker, other Bloomist items purchased will ship separately and cannot be combined. If your purchase is time-sensitive, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to accommodate.
A professional potter for 30 years and counting, Judy Jackson crafts her widely admired ceramics from her home/studio in Litchfield County, CT and at Tribeca Potters, a studio collective she founded that is based in Long Island City. Judy loves the durability of stoneware clay and the way it takes glaze. “Rather than paint the glaze onto the form as you do with low-fired clay pieces, I dip and pour matte glaze over each piece so that it accentuates the individual line and form,” she explains.
