Native to the lowland tropics in the America’s spiny Amaranth is an upright, often full summer annual that grows to heights of 2–5 feet. Incredibly realistic sharp spines appear at each leaf node and stems and leaves are smooth and typically shiny in appearance. Arrange these tall branches in a large pot or vases and mix them with other dramatic branches and dried flowers like tallow berries or preserved juniper.
Note that stems are flexible, and can be easily cut with strong, heavy-duty clippers. These are assembled by hand from ethical producers in China. Learn more about how our EcoFaux™ botanicals help break free of the Petro-chemical cycle in our Journal article here.
