A species of Magnolia that grows in sheltered valleys in the Himalayas, Magnolia Campbelli is also indigenous to the Southeastern U.S. and can be found in northern points of the Midwest and California. Prized for leathery, deep green leaves with a striking rich copper underside, this glossy specimen is often used in holiday decorations, and looks effective mixed with dried and fresh flowers, as well as faux botanicals. We designed these in collaboration with author / stylist, Hilary Robertson and purposely incorporated realistic details of faded leaves and petals, as well as bug holes to capture nature’s nuance.
The arrangement in the Large European Recycled Glass Jar features three 31" Magnolia stems cut to size, mixed with fresh magnolia leaves.
Note that stems and flower heads are flexible, and the stems can be cut with strong, heavy-duty clippers. Faux Magnolia petals and leaves are made of upcycled fabric from PET plastic bottles while the leaf bones and stems are made from bioplastic. They are assembled by hand from ethical producers in China. (Read more)
