Acer capillipes
Red Snakebark Maple, a small maple from the mountains of Japan, so named for its snake-like, striped bark. This small tree seedling is seed-grown on California's Redwood Coast and will start to leaf out before your own eyes.
As the Chinese proverb goes, "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." This little seedling will ultimately grow to 30 – 40' tall / 30 – 40' spread. A medium grower, you can enjoy nurturing it and transferring to sequentially larger pots before transferring to the garden.
Kokedamas are an ancient form of Japanese Bonsai that dates to around 1600 AD. These living planters are made with natural moss, soil, twine, and a plant. They have a sunny disposition and are low maintenance.
