Native to Marrakech, Morocco, tadelakt is an ancient limestone plastering technique and material. Meaning “massage” or “rub” in Arabic, tadelakt is prized for its smooth surface and subtle sheen, and has been used for centuries to coat the walls and baths of traditional Hammams and Moroccan homes.
Moroccan artisans use tadelakt to hand-craft these simple, highly polished vases. We designed these to be perfect for arranging flowers and branches, dried, or EcoFauxTM with or without a Brass Frog. This is not waterproof. Best to insert a water tight container if using for fresh flowers.

The vase shipped quickly and arrived even more beautiful than represented on the website. It has a waxy glaze on the exterior, some handmade imperfections in the form, and an unglazed interior - you cannot put any water in this vessel.
